The Lytham 1940s Weekend is a vibrant annual event held in Lytham, Lancashire, that immerses visitors in the 1940s, celebrating life during World War II. The event also includes market stalls selling 1940s-inspired goods, including vintage clothing, memorabilia, and wartime rations, enhancing the festival’s authentic atmosphere. The weekend is centred around life on the home front in the 1940s, which features exhibitions of 1940s history, including vehicles, musicians, hospitality and and so much more. Military reenactments are a key part of the event but the presence of a Ukrainian tent underscores our commitment to inclusivity and support for all communities. Attendees can enjoy 1940s classic tunes in the square and in the event’s marquee. A vehicle parade takes place, running two laps from opposite the Clifton Arms to Station Rd, Clifton Street, Lowther Terrace, and back. Traffic will be managed at key points, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
