Viva Blackpool

Viva Blackpool has grown from humble beginnings in 2012 into a cornerstone of entertainment in Blackpool, often dubbed the “Vegas of the North West.” Since opening, this vibrant venue has welcomed visitors year-round, employing over 65 team members who all earn a living wage. For over a decade, Viva has captivated audiences with a unique fusion of show-bar excitement, dazzling performances, and a touch of classic glamour.

Set on Blackpool’s iconic Golden Mile, they offered a trip back in time to the fabulous era of the 1950’s for a unique and high-quality dining and entertainment experience. Featured classic car fitted booths and a retro-inspired bar, with fantastic memorabilia from the era, complementing the stunning interior design, this restaurant, bar and grill truly captures the aesthetic of a true 1950’s diner with a touch of Las Vegas thrown in. Alongside a delicious menu full of all those tasty American classics, including the most amazing milkshakes, hotdogs and burgers – which all happens to be made freshly to order daily, you can also experience a service like no other, due to the incredible, all singing, all dancing servers that break out into song and dance throughout the day! Where else in Blackpool can you receive top-quality service with a song? Not to mention the bar serving up the most divine cocktails, wines, spirits, beers plus many other fantastic drink options late into the night, plus showing live sports alongside the very best entertainment in Blackpool, including an incredible in-house band The Fremonts! Sorry to say that the Vegas Diner has closed and has since been replaced by a new Wendy’s Restaurant.

In June 2012, founders Martin Heywood (Managing Director) and Leye D Johns (Entertainment Director and Resident Host) took on the task of transforming an old Mecca Bingo hall into what is now lovingly known as the Purple Palace. Working tirelessly, they completed the venue’s stunning transformation in just five weeks, setting the stage for an unforgettable opening night. Since then, Viva has continued to grow beyond their initial dreams, becoming a beloved venue for both locals and visitors.

For ten years, Viva has excelled at crafting breathtaking shows filled with striking visuals, talented vocalists, skilled dancers, and Leye D Johns’ signature blend of outrageous humour and charm. The performances are elevated by Viva’s luxurious ambiance and intricate, eye-catching costumes, each detail exuding a dedication to quality. Through every challenge, Viva has held firm to its vision of delivering exceptional entertainment, making it a must-visit destination in Blackpool’s vibrant nightlife scene.
