Blackpool Timeline is particularly sensitive when it comes to copyright, so acknowledging our resources is critical, which is why we do so at the bottom of our posts. However, we don’t feel it’s right (or legal) to copy and paste content from those resources, implying it’s our own. Until recently, we would have to rewrite borrowed content without any AI assistance. Chat GPT helps but can’t do it on its own. We have to rewrite most of our content ourselves, including what’s come from Chat GPT, mainly to make the posts suit being in a timeline with a Blackpool focus.

David Slattery-Christy has been invaluable, adding detail only he could provide. He is a local historian as well as a published author. His resources have allowed him to write exclusive stories and find obscure images for Blackpool Timeline. Aside from approving content for the subjects he’s familiar with, David has written some of the posts himself.
