Fairhaven Marine Lake & Gardens

Fairhaven Lake officially opened in August 1893. By 1895, the Fairhaven Estate Company took over from Thomas Riley to manage the lake. Shortly after, in 1896, the company began planning a golf course to complement the lake and the surrounding area to the west. Blackpool Victoria Hospital

Originally established as Blackpool Hospital in 1894, the facility was located on Whitegate Lane (now Whitegate Drive).
