The Holiday Inn at Talbot Gateway in Blackpool is a key feature of the area’s ongoing £350 million regeneration project. This new addition to the town opened in mid-2023 and boasts 144 rooms, making it a modern and centrally located option for both business and leisure travellers. Managed by RBH Hospitality, the hotel is directly connected to Blackpool North train station via a newly constructed underpass and is adjacent to a tram extension linking the town centre to the Blackpool Promenade. This connectivity underscores its role as a hub for visitors arriving in Blackpool.
The Holiday Inn also features Marco Pierre White’s “New York Italian” restaurant, which combines classic Italian dishes with American-style cuisine, enhancing Blackpool’s culinary offerings. The hotel and restaurant have created significant local employment opportunities, with approximately 70 roles being filled, 97% of which went to residents from the area.
In addition to the hotel, the Talbot Gateway project includes new retail spaces beneath the hotel, a refurbished multi-storey car park, and expansive public spaces. Future phases of the regeneration plan involve sustainable office spaces and a £65 million educational campus, collectively aimed at revitalising Blackpool’s economy and attracting professionals, students, and tourists alike.
