Beaverbrooks House in Blackpool is an iconic building that was gifted to the Blackpool Carers Centre by the Beaverbrooks<\/strong><\/a> Charitable Trust. The building, formerly known as Blenheim House on Newton Drive, was initially purchased from Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and renamed in honour of the trust in 2013. This donation, announced during National Carers Week in 2015, marked a significant step in the charity’s growth and allowed them to expand their services. As a result of the partnership with Beaverbrooks, Blackpool Carers won the Lloyds Foundation Regional award for Enterprising Collaboration, North West.<\/p>\n

One of the top Blackpool charities, Blackpool Carers Centre provides specialist support, respite and outings for unpaid carers from the age of 5 years and their families. They help carers to create friendships, feel less isolated, strengthen their resilience and make happy memories. Their service is often a lifeline for many carers who would otherwise feel isolated and unable to cope. To be clear, a\u00a0carer is someone, who without payment provides help and support to a parent, partner, child, relative, friend or neighbour, who could not manage without their help.
