Fylde Coast Resilience is focused on making a difference by bringing the VCFSE, private and public sectors together, providing knowledge, information and support to help businesses and organisations make positive, powerful connections. The launch meeting was on Wednesday 23 November 2022, at Mandus House. Unlike traditional \u2018networking\u2019 groups, they don\u2019t make time-consuming presentations that prevent attendees from talking with each other. They don\u2019t expect referrals, set targets or make any demands from attendees. Together they support the community, re-shape business and create sustainable, successful futures for everyone. Steve Lord had the inspired idea to start Fylde Coast Resilience and came up with its name. He\u2019s been networking, connecting people and developing business in the UK and Prague for more than 30 years. He\u00a0approached Ed Christiano with the idea and Ed asked Tony Carr to join, having worked with him at One Blackpool. Ed has a design and marketing business and has been trading for over 30 years.\u00a0Tony is a professionally accredited Chartered Management Institute social enterprise specialist business advisor and mentor. His background was in Retail but he was also the co-founder and non-executive Director of Blackpool\u2019s first independent Radio Station, Radio Wave. He is the Managing Director of Social Enterprise Solutions (UK) CIC, and under his leadership, SES has been listed in the RBS top100 social enterprises in the UK for four years running. Since the launch they have worked side by side with Blackpool CAN<\/a>, another fantastic community organisation.<\/p>\n

The networking group is open to EVERYONE, but especially:<\/p>\n

\u2022 VCFSE (3rd sector) professionals
\n\u2022 Public sector representatives
\n\u2022 Non-profit orgs, CICs, faith groups, charities, etc.
\n\u2022 Entrepreneurs
\n\u2022 Small business owners
\n\u2022 Business startups
\n\u2022 All other \u2018community oriented\u2019 volunteer groups and individuals.<\/p>\n

The meetings have moved from Mandus House to Sharples Hall at N-Vision,\u00a0Bosworth Place, Squires Gate, Blackpool, FY4 1SH. There’s no cost to attend and plenty of free tea and coffee.
