On Wednesday, 11 September 2024, Victoria will speak at Fylde Coast Resilience about her involvement in The Big Food Project<\/em> at Blackpool Foodbank and her extensive work as an international counter-terrorism consultant for both the UK Government and the United Nations.<\/p>\n

Currently, Victoria serves as the Director of Offender Management and Specialist Services at Prospects Services. Before this role, she spent several years advising the UK Government and the UN on counter-terrorism efforts, focusing on offender rehabilitation and prison management in countries such as Somalia, Kenya, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Algeria, and Tajikistan.<\/p>\n

Victoria\u2019s career also includes a significant role as Head of UK Corrections and Detentions in Afghanistan, where she contributed to the rebuilding and management of Lashkar Gar prison. In the UK, she held leadership positions at HMP Garth and HMP Chelmsford, where she served as Deputy Governor. She was recruited into HM Prison Service to bring new perspectives to improve prison culture. Earlier in her career, she worked in adult and youth training and in further education.<\/p>\n

In addition to her professional roles, Victoria holds several voluntary positions: she is a Director at Blackpool Sixth Form College, a Governor at Brookfield Special School on the Fylde Coast, and a Trustee of the Cascade Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting individuals with dyslexia and brain injuries.<\/p>\n
